A Chic Downtown Denver Engagement Session
Downtown Denver exudes a quiet sophistication, especially when paired with timeless martinis and the elegant backdrop of historic marble steps. For Jacie and Max, this engagement session was a perfect reflection of their style and the genuine connection they share.
We started the evening at a cozy cocktail bar tucked into one of Denver’s bustling side streets. With low lighting, clinking glassware, and an elevator nearby, the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect. The couple sipped spicy martinis, shared quiet laughs in the corner booth, and moved slowly through the space like they had the place to themselves. These intimate, documentary-style moments captured the laid-back elegance that defines so many of my couples.
After soaking in the bar’s ambiance, we headed a few blocks over to the Byron White U.S. Courthouse, one of my favorite photo spots in Denver. The architecture here is absolutely iconic—grand columns, clean lines, and marble everywhere. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a black-and-white film.
The contrast between the soft, romantic bar photos and the crisp, stylized portraits at the courthouse gave us the perfect variety. We leaned into editorial-style posing for some shots and kept others playful and candid—reflecting this couple’s vibe perfectly.
